Okay, so as a continuation to my not-so-fantastic week...
Sunday night as Ashlee and I were pulling out of our parelleled parking spot a white church van (St. Matthews, to be exact) pulled a little in front of us. The passenger got out with a sawed off shotgun and ran to our car. He put the barrel through the recently opened window on Ashlee's driver's side and screamed for her to give him her purse. I had not yet quite reacted...though I was figuring things out as I hurriedly went through the possessions in my purse. I didn't have much but he didn't seem to have noticed me yet so I considered moving my purse down to the ground. A second later, though, he did see me and, looking around hurriedly for my purse, proceeded to yell at me to give him mine. He had reached all the way over Ashlee through the window and was then pointed the gun at me.
We each gave him our purses with no fight, no words, nothing... the driver came from around the truck, asked if he had gotten our purses...they ran back to the van, got in, and sped off.
They stole a total of 6$ from us (1.04$ from me personally) but have cost us much more than that...both monetarily as well as emotionally.
We drove around the corner to park in front of Holly's house, called the cops, and went home around 3:30 am.
I lost my College of Charleston wallet given to me during SPECTRA (irreplaceable), one dollar bill, four pennies, my debit card (cancelled that night from Holly's), my driver's license (a pain in the butt to replace for me...), my College of Charleston id (replaced at no charge because we had a police case number), 2 Majestic Grill stamp cards, a Moe's stamp card, a movie theater stamp card, my telephone with ALL OF MY CONTACTS in it, chapstick, and my keys: two Columbia keys, two Charleston Terrivo Square keys, a 124 Coming Street key (made especially for me by Ashlee...all colorful!), my Ben Silver Key, two bike lock keys, and my car key.
Monday, though I was supposed to work, Ashlee and I instead got as much taken care of in Charleston as we could and then drove to Florence. I got to see her house and hang out with her family and see Brittany...on the upside. She got a phone there.
Tuesday morning we left for Columbia and arrived around noon. We saw MY family and went to the DMV...which took for-ever. Oh my God...don't be foreign if you can help it.
Then we went to the mall and scouted out various cell phone providers and sat down and considered all of my options. I had to have a telephone, regardless, and our Cingular contract ended a year ago so we now had the option of choosing a new provider.
I finally settled on Verizon.
Then we had some time to kill so we bought pepper spray at a GUN SHOP across from the PRISON. What the fuck? That's really silly.
My father met us at the mall at 3:30 and we discussed various options.
We ended up having to go to the Verizon store by the theaters and everything was taken care of by 4:30/4:45. We went home so I could get the rest of my stuff...I called Ben Silver...Ashlee and I spoke with my parents for a while...the time quickly passed...I called Ben Silver again to say I wouldn't make it that day either.
We had dinner.
We left around 7 I guess...and drove back.
Ashlee and I are now even more adamently opposed to guns. How could anyone have the nerve to put someone's life in danger as they did to me? How could you have the nerve to scare someone like that? Moving his finger half an inch would have killed me. I would have had no face. Ashlee wouldn't have either. What the fuck?!?!?LWEGHLWEHJG GOD.
So anyway...I feel unsafe in Charleston now and want a boy to protect me even though that's really really really irrational of me, as I don't think it would have made a difference if a boy had been with me or not unless he had been sitting in the back seat of the car with a rifle on his lap.
Anyway, that's what happened for those of you who care to know.
If you would like me to have your phone number, you will have to give it to me. Either leave it here or call me...my number's the same.

Have the police found any leads or made any arrests?

They found the van and we were supposed to go in for a line up today but Ash worked from 10 to 3 and I'm working from 3 to 9 so it will probably have to wait until tomorrow.
The fact that there is supposed to be a lineup gives me hope, though...*crosses fingers*

Re: dayum.
hahaha...I was wondering why you sent me the same thing twice. It was awesome though, believe me.Yeah, I would love to get together with you. I work Friday 9 to 3 and Saturday 9 to 5...and I'm not really available Sunday until the evening...but if we can work around Friday or Saturday that would be fantastic. I'm not quite sure how long I will be able to hang out though, since I'm beginning the moving process on Friday.
I'm excited to see you, though.
Diana won't be able to get together with us unless if it's Sunday evening after she's moved too...we have to be out of the apartment Sunday.
Anyway, let me know!
